BANANA-Q

This is often sold in the streets.
A banana that is fried in hot oil and is coated in lots of sugar. It is often served in a barbeque stick. Some kids love to eat this especially after their afternoon classes to the reason that, vendors usually sell them later in the afternoon or at dawn.

DINUGUAN & PUTO

DINUGUAN
PUTO

The best combination of Filipinos during their snack time especially in the afternoon. I think they are the best combination because dinuguan is a little salty and puto is bland. DINUGUAN is a filipino dish and also a snack that is made from Pork Meat and Pork Blood. PUTO is a rice-cake that is made of milk and always has sliced cheese on top.

SORBETES

SORBETES or what filipinos call DIRTY ICE CREAM. These are men that sell ice cream in karts usually with a bell on hand. I don't know why Filipinos call it DIRTY ICE CREAM. But for many it is the best tasting ice cream here in the Philippines and is also very cheap! They have different flavors that you can choose: cheese, mango, ube, pandan, melon. It is also served in an APA or what foreigners call it Wafer cones/ice cream cones. It can also be serve in little ice cream cups for children.

Varieties of Chicharon

Chicharon is a deep-fried crispy pork belly often served with vinegar and chili. After a few years, some people made up a new variety of chicharon. Some are made from fish skins, chicken intestines, chicken liver and a lot more. This is a favorite finger-snack of Filipinos and also best when drinking beer.

Bibingka

BIBINGKA. A cake-like snack or even a dessert to some that is served with muscovado and shredded coconut or niyog. It normally has cheese inside and sometimes also mixed with itlog na maalat. It is best served with hot brewed coffee. Some adults love to eat this especially in the afternoon.

One of the best Halo-halo in town!

The most popular store that sells the BEST Halo-halo in town! RAZON'S! I don't know why it is popular but I think because of the best tasting halo-halo you'll taste once you landed here in the Philippines. It originally started in Pampanga and their very first store was also in Pampanga. The balanced sweetness of the cream, banana, sago, leche flan and macapuno that would fill up your cravings to sweetness and makes you want to eat MORE!

LATIK. For some people here in Manila, Latik for them is the sweet sauce that you put in with the suman. But for us Bicolanos, Latik is a complete dish of a suman that is green in color and at the same time with the sweet sauce with it. It is also a favorite snack or merienda in Bicol and also a pasalubong of some.

The very popular SUMAN SA IBOS of different places here in the Philippines. But... people outside Bicol would normally call it only SUMAN. In Bicol, we call it, IBOS. A malagkit rice mixed with coconut cream and is wrapped with young coconut leaves and steamed for couple of hours and served with santan, sugar or muscovado.
